review 1: This was a good one. It really freaked me out. I was shocked by what happened, but I had a feeling. If you want people to believe a crazy person is after you, you need to report EVERYTHING weird or strange they do or say. Let's use some common sense. I really loved Elliot and Julia. Super sweet characters with great qualities and lovely eccentricities. I'm excited for the next one, but...I'm going to need to prepare myself for the inevitable freak out.
review 2: I made the mistake of expecting greatness after choosing to read this book based on my satisfaction from Callum and Harper. What a disappointed. It was like a lame soap. Very slow. And, well, lame. I skimmed through it only because I had to at least know a bit of what the hec was going on. And what was
... more going on? Nothing. I have to admit that Jesse was freaky as hec and reminded me a lot of John from Callum and Harper. That was a very strong and intense scene in the book (and a bit predicatble in the end). BUt for this alone, this book gets the 2nd star. This book could've been cut in half and maybe then--just maybe, it would've been a much better story. I didn't get the sparks--this isn't a supernatural book, so why mention it so much? I just didn't get it--even for a YA novel. Sadly, easily a not-worth-the-time to read. Skim through it if you must know. Or better yet: read someone's summary on it. less
