review 1: Liked it. Definitely liked it.Okay, the part about the child was awfully reminiscent of the other child in the series, but the main plot differed enough, I think. It’s yet another take on the reincarnation thing. Funny how the entire series changed into being about the magical brothers. But in regards to reincarnation, here’s something I don’t get. If the thirteen had their souls split in two in the 1500s, how can someone born a good five-hundred years earlier be one of those other halves? I was wondering about something similar in the first book that introduced the concept (Torren mentioned he first found his Infinity a few years after the soul split, which suggests the person holding it was already fully grown), and it makes even less sense now since we’re actuall... morey given numbers.Eh, I’m not letting something like that spoil the reading for me. This series has developed into something surprisingly solid (or I just have been reading very superficial, rushed books for way too long) and I haven’t yet come across one that outright annoyed me or that I didn’t at least like.Good stuff, if tricky to rate. So sad there’s only a single volume left.
review 2: Not too much happening plot wise. Raith won't let Tober claim him because he doesn't want to hurt his mate if the dark magic consumes him. Tober won't give up on him and continues to support him. Eventually a solution is found and Raith and Tober have to decide if they want to risk Raith's life on a ceremony that may or may not work.It was a good story. I think the author did a great job with the little twist with the Rasta link to Raith. It was an interesting concept (even though it was predictable seeing as mates bond for life and Raith keeps on reincarnating). Kaito was a cute addition. less
