review 1: The Intern was quite humorous in the first few chapters, it was easy to get into but then it started to drag on about the same old stuff. I felt like the characters could have been developed better, for instance- telling us more about Josie's life. it seemed like some of the ladies working in the magazine office were irrelevant to the book. It was an easy read, but didn't really leave me wanting more. I wish i could have nicer things to say, and i appreciate how difficult it is to write a novel, kudos to Gabrielle Tozer. But, to put it simply, it was just an 'ok' book.
review 2: If you liked "Devil Wears Prada" and need to read something to escape reality, this one's for you!! A great, light hearted and funny story with underlying messages "all that glitters is... more not gold" and "if at first you don't succeed.. dust yourself off and try again" I recommend this to all readers especially to those on a career fast track.. You get knocked around a bit but perseverance will achieve your goal!! less
