review 1: ①Groseet & Dunlap, Who Was...? series, RL 3.4②5/13=20min. 5/16=80min.③Jackie Robinson, first, black, baseball, player, 42,legend④"He wanted to be home for dinner." I liked this sentence, because almost all people cannot make this decision. Many people want to spend their own life with their family or other important people more than spending time for works. However they would choose keeping works, because they have to get salary, and they don't have brave to make a decision, so I think this sentence is so cool. Because he could said that his most important thing is time with family. That's why I chose this sentence.⑤I have played baseball since when I was 4th grade in elementary school student, so I know this name, Jackie Robinson. He was a first black bas... moreeball player. But I knew just that information, so I could know his history through reading this one. And I didn't know his second life which he worked for civil rights. It was grate book for baseball fan!!
review 2: This book is a biography about Jackie Robinson's life and his accomplishments. I would consider this book and easier read. The grades that I would use this book for are first grade through fifth grade. This is a great book to teach children about baseball, who Jackie Robinson his, and why he is so important to our history. I would use this book in my classroom. This book would be good for students who are doing research projects on famous people. It doesn't contain too many facts, but just enough so students would be able to understand who Jackie Robinson is and his accomplishments in history. The topic of this book is Jackie Robinson’s life. The theme is breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball, which is a big part of our history. After reading this book it made me want to do more research on Jackie Robinson. It gave me just enough of the basic information, but not enough to satisfy myself. less
