review 1: Giving this a 3.5. I liked it but it didn't wow me. I actually liked Sam as a heroine. She showed strength and integrity and resolve to get over the horrific trauma she went through. And Griffin, oh sweet Griffin, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thy sweetness. I love thy alpha male growliness. I love thy abs. I love thy musical talent. I love thy patience. And did I mention thy abs? Although, he's a blonde and my preference tends to the dark haired hotties like Hunter. Griff is a giant piece of cuddly man candy. For the most part I enjoyed this, except when Sam did some stupid BS thing that made me want to slap a bitch but overall it's a good read. Enjoyed the first book more cause Hunter is my boy...
review 2: Another excellent book in this s... moreeries. We knew from book one that this was going to be emotional and it was!In my opinion, Sam's situation was portrayed perfectly and tastefully, she was an inspiration in how she handled her ordeal and I thought Griff fit her like he was made for her. I liked the pacing of the relationship, how she worked through her issues, her therapist - just everything! what started out super emotional ended with a warm feeling in my heart and it wasn't hard to connect with any of the characters. The story was great and whilst yes, we know what it will revolve around, that wasn't all that the story had to offer as the author isn't afraid to give us some serious WTF moments with her plot twists which made the story even better. I'm not a fan of non paranormal books and only read book one because it was free and I fancied something different, so the fact that I have continued with the series will show how good it is. I'm glad I took a risk on this series because they're gems and I'll definitely be looking out for book three. less
