review 1: Spoiler Alert!!This has been one of my favorite books all year long. Seeing the fun in this book during the worst possible time in a woman's life ( being pregnant and her husband dies) was pretty insane view and aspect from her view. Also, being able to help find his killer ( cause he comes to visit after he is gone and tells her who did it) was a nice twist on the death thing. Having the help and support from the wildest friends al through out the end is beyond hysterical too. Fun, fun , fun.
review 2: I suppose once you get past all the Westside kicks everybody else in the world's "bum" references - that was not intended to be a pun - there's a mildly entertaining supernatural story here that left me thinking she did not know how to end the book but wanted it... more done with. Stereotypical characters, a nutty main I actually kind of liked, but if I weren't born and raised in LA and familiar with all these region specifics strewn throughout, I would have tossed this. Even familiar, I still often felt like tossing this. But at least I know now where to find everything I ever wanted: Whole Foods. I didn't hate it. I just knew what I was in for. less
