review 1: This was suppose to be noir but, the way noir was described to me was completely different than this book. The only thing that might have made this noir was that Dr Duca Lamberti was sentenced to 3 years in prison for helping a woman with cancer commit euthanasia. Everything else was the mystery of how a rich man was bent low by a woman committing suicide. He solves the mystery and the story leaves off. It was worth reading.
