review 1: It was a pleasant story to read, if you completely suspend any belief in the characters. Juli, the main character, marries a man after knowing him for only 8 days. We're supposed to accept that he really wanted to marry her, and that his family was just so mean for mistrusting and suspecting her. Really? There just wasn't enough explanation of her character to make her sympathetic. And what do we know about Frankie that he's so untrustworthy? There just isn't enough development of the characters to make them at all believable. I'm still trying to figure out why she's so desirable and trust-worthy.
review 2: This book amazed me. This is the kind of book where you start reading it and you get so engrossed in the story that the next time you look up it's 2
... moream and you have a pile of tissues beside you and you are a total emotional wreck and you're exhausted. You know you won't be able to read those last 75 pages because you're so tired but you turn out the light and cry in the dark for another 20 minutes because you can't stop thinking about it. That's what kind of book this is. Beautiful. less
