review 1: This was a good mystery. I'm glad Rachel wasn't a wimpy woman. I felt like she was always right on the edge though! Helene and May are always odd characters to me. I guessed that Rachel and Jack would end up together but he was so snobbish and suspicious at first. Not very likeable. I can't pinpoint the moment when I started to like him but I did and that's good because no one wants the girl to end up with the jerk, right. It did end too soon for me. I want to know that all ends well, I want to know about the paintings, I want to know what becomes of Brendan, does Jeremy marry the girl, and what becomes of the house?
review 2: I thought it was a good mystery. The story follows a girl who is looking for her brother. He disappears and she can't get in touch wit
... moreh him. She goes to the last place he was living which was a mansion he was a caretaker at. She goes in and gets locked into a room. Then she convinces the owner to let her stay and wait for her brother to come back. The mansion has a story about it that there is treasure hidden in the house and there are also ghost stories surrounding it as well. She meets some interesting people and there are a lot of twists to the story that I will not give a way. it was a good story and was well written and keeps you guessing the whole time... less

Really great, didn't want it to end. Wish it would have gone further into their new relationship.

Just good enough to keep me reading to the end but lots of interruptions for other books.
