review 2: Ling and Ting: Not Exactly the Same by Grace Lin is a sweet story about twins who everyone says are exactly the same, but the twins prove those people wrong. It is a simple chapter book that follows the twins through funny situations, like when Ting sneezes during a haircut. The book highlights some Chinese culture. For example, Ling struggles to use chopsticks after the girls making dumplings that "look like old Chinese money." The illustrations help support comprehension of the text. I would use this book as a beginning chapter book with my struggling readers. less
