review 2: The book jacket read 'Water For Elephants meets Night Circus in The Magician's Lie'...and I was hooked. I loved the story from the first chapter ... set in the early 1900's, famous female illusionist, tortured and loved at the same time. I liked that the story switched from past to present, told all in one night. I was captivated from begin... morening to end, but I do have to add... that although I liked the ending, I wish it had a little more meat to it! less
