review 1: 4-1/2 stars: Excellent book. I love Davis, but I'm deducting half a star because she frustrates the heck out of me sometimes, especially in this book. She puts up with way too much when it comes to Bianca and Eddie; it got to be a bit over the top. However, the book is still a hoot as are Davis and her partner Fantasy. I had more than a few chuckles while reading this. I switched between the kindle version and the audio. A new narrator was used for this audio book and while I really liked the previous narrator, I also loved Amber Benson who read this one. This is a fun series with great characters and an engaging mystery (or two). One or two threads were left loose in this one but I'm not sure if that was intentional or not (or maybe I missed something while frantically fl... moreipping the virtual pages to finish it?). Regardless, I highly recommend this series if you like your mysteries with sass, humor and a good dose of attitude.
review 2: Another rollicking good ride with Davis and the gang in this follow up to Double Whammy. Another great time had by all, although I do admit to a few tears in this episode of Look Out World Here Comes Davis! She's such a fantastic gal, but heartache threatens to bring her down this time. However, with typical Davis get-up-and-go, she shrugs it off, shakes it out and gets back into the game. Lots of laughter as usual and a beautiful ending. Gretchen Archer cannot write quick enough for me...bring on number 3!! less
