review 1: The writing was really good. I was actually really liking where it was going... until it ended. What happened was the story ended after only about twenty or so pages, which is fine with a novelette or novella, but this wasn't that. This wasn't even a short story. This was more like a preview to a full book. A good story has a beginning, a middle, and a end. This had a beginning and part of a middle. A conflict was just beginning to build, and we were almost to the story's climax, almost. Then, it abruptly stopped. I like to be fair with my reviews, and if I don't like a book, I say so, but I try to do so with a bit of consciousness towards the author's feelings, as I would hate for someone to blast me about my writing. So, please don't hate me for my review. This is solely ... morea reflection of the book. It doesn't sit well on my conscious that many of you readers are paying for a story and not getting it. I was fortunate enough to get it for free on Amazon. In my honest opinion, this book could be amazing. However, it should have been sold as one novel or two novellas instead of as a four part series. I love serial novels and novellas but this one just wasn't executed properly. If you go for this story I recommend buying the complete series and not the individual shorts. I believe that if I read the complete story I would have had no problem with the way the stories were released and this review would have been very positive. The writing is great; sexy and fun, so while I am recommending no to this short, I am recommending yes to the series in full. It's less expensive than buying each individual book anyway.
review 2: I thought I could tun a blind eye to their encounter in the beginning of the book as obviously another reviewer also mentioned that it is very much a sexual harassment in the workplace. And I am prepared to ignore that "incident" in order to enjoy the book. However, I cannot see their relationship has anything except physical lust.... May be I am too harsh as this is an erotic book, not a romantica? less
