Anchored Young Adults Ministry
My name is Matt Rogers, and I started Anchored Young Adults Ministry. Anchored was founded February 12, 2017, in Marshall – Virginia. God laid it on my heart to create a place where young adults can encounter the love of God, hear the truth, and develop lifelong friendships.
Being Anchored:Literally speaking, anchors are primarily used for boats and other floating platforms. Anchors are used to keep things grounded. When you think about a boat, a boat needs an anchor in the storms and even in safe harbors. Now think about our lives individually… We are all in need of an anchor, but especially an anchor for our souls. Whether we’re in the storms of this life or in the peaceful seasons, we’re all in need of an anchor for our souls.
- The only thing that can be an ANCHOR for our soul is Jesus. (Hebrews 6:13-19)
In this chapter of Hebrews, the author was writing to a group of people who were facing hardships & persecution – due to their faith in Jesus. The author of Hebrews, was trying to instill a hope that was based solely on Jesus.
Where is your hope?Maybe your hope is in a relationship, money, popularity, or you fill in the blank __________?

God’s promises are a sure and steadfast anchor for our souls.
Anchor’s for your soul:- Jeremiah 29:11 ( God has plans for your life)
- Isaiah 40:29-31 ( God gives you strength, and he’ll always come through )
- Philippians 4:19 ( God supplies all of your needs )
- Romans 8:37-39 ( Nothing can separate us from the love of God )
We are all in need of an Anchor for our souls and I pray that this group/post helps you get grounded in truth.
