review 1: This book was somewhat helpful, though I didn't think so at first. My toddler was always screaming when I left her room at bedtime, no matter how long we spent talking and singing. I implemented the idea of a story about bedtimes using characters she liked from a show she watches about a kangaroo, and I said he couldn't find his bed. In the end, he finds his bed in a dark, cool, quiet cave and puts his head on his pillow and gets his blanket and his special lovey and closes his eyes and has sweet dreams all night long...and then I say she gets to do all of those things. It actually has helped, which was a pleasant surprise. She still yells when I leave, but not nearly as much as she used to. And sometimes she doesn't even yell!Bottom line, some of his ideas are very good f... moreor toddlers (I'm already a big fan of the 5 S's for infants). He seems to throw too many ideas at you, but if you pick one you think may work and try it out, it may help lots! When it comes to sleep, most parents are willing to try anything. :-) I only gave 3 stars because he overwhelms with too many ideas but some do work well. Just depends on your child.
review 2: I feel like this book is okay, but it just skimmed the surface giving good techniques, but didn't address the real problems of baby sleep & how to fix it. By the time my baby was 4 months he was having a real hard time sleeping. It was making it harder for me to be a good mom. Finally around 5 1/2 months my sister told me about THE BEST sleep book: Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Marc Weissbluth. Best book. This book actually has helped. My baby started sleeping WAY better in just a couple days. Now at 8 months he sleeps around 12 hrs a night and typically has 3 naps a day! Overall, don't read this book. It has some nice ideas that we used, but the real help was in the other book- Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. Look that one up and read it! less

I realized she's a good sleeper and I do all of this instinctually anyway.
