review 1: Another one in the 'romance titles for researching the genre' list. I picked it up after reading the promising sample on my Kindle. The heroine was quirky, imperfect, and intelligent - all appealing characteristics to me. I liked the hero as well, even though the conflict keeping the two apart was pretty thin. Overall this felt like a good start but the author seemed to lose interest in her own work rather quickly. There were some well-done secondary characters, the setting was very vivid and used well to ground the story but once the author's energy for the story waned, she seemed to race to finish and wash her hands of the whole thing. The end came out of nowhere, no tension or build whatsoever - just *bam* ...done. I was disappointed - had hopes for this being a non-for... moremulaic romance, not to mention I liked her style very much, but felt in the end the book needed a lot more sprucing up before Cinderella hit the ball.
review 2: It was OK. I liked the characters enough, but it was strangely unsatisfying to me, partly on the front of the hero. I really wanted to slap him upside the head and say "Get with the program you selfish Ahole!", but I didn't. It was a cute HEA story, and the nice change of pace was the small twist of WHO wrote the Cinderella Plan, and tried so hard to follow the rules. I enjoy Heather Webber, and felt that the story could have been better if it was longer, and had a bit more depth, but for a short story, it was decent. I really loved Indie. less

A fast read. Enjoyed it somewhat. Felt like the author was rushing the storyline a bit.
