review 1: I just loved the heroine in this book. She gave it all back and more! Four years ago, Kim was devastated when her fiancé left her just weeks away from the wedding. Seems he finally realized that he was gay. Given that the heroine grew up feeling like the ugly duckling due to her height, this sends her into a confidence death spiral. She finally comes around realizing that the "HEA" isn't for her, so she devotes herself to having a rewarding career. She is smart, sexy, feisty, but also a very loving compassionate person.She decides to apply as PA to the CEO and owner of the company, Blaise, ....who happens to be one hot nugget! Of course, he has sworn off women and serious commitments due to a disastrous first marriage. The only redeeming consequence of his marria... morege, turns out to be his ten year old adorable little girl Lucy.The sparks and chemistry fly. I loved watching how they came together....most importantly, getting to see a heroine who respects herself enough to make the right decisions. A fun, feisty, enjoyable read that had me chuckling my way through the book.
review 2: I liked this, the romance was quiet absent and on the down-low.The heroine has always been self-conscious of her height and her engagement ended in disaster(her fiancee was gay), so her career is all she wants as of now, she applies for a new job and her boss is demanding and focused and she falls for him, but she's not one of those simpering women who melt at a look.She challenges his view of love and even goes as far as to quit but he wises up.And they just share a kiss before all of this happens. A low passion romance, which I liked. less
