review 1: This book is three and a half stars from me. The story centres around Rachel, a woman who is pregnant and desperately looking forward to becoming a mother. However, when she gives birth, the experience is nothing like she fantasised about. This book deals with very difficult issues and some parts of the story I found quite disturbing. This was a brave choice of subject for the author and I recommend it highly.

... mores was a great book, hard hitting and intense, written in such a way as to convey the distortion of thought and sense of pressure that sleeplessness and parenthood brings. I wish I'd been able to give it to my husband and family when my son was born. Every doctor and healthcare professional should read it. less
