review 1: From the blog on the back of the book I thought I was about to read a love story, instead I got drugs in sport, witness protection, Russian mafia, police corruption..and maybe a little bit of a love story. This was a book with many twists and turns...real settings and real times in sporting history made it fell like it could even be a true story. I have never read this author and I don't know why as I will be looking out for her books from now on.
review 2: I absolutely loved this story! The attention to detail with the characters and their surroundings and professions was amazing. The suspense was excellent and kept me on the edge of my seat, so much so that I read this in one night, I just couldn't put it down until I knew everything. I also love a best-fri... moreends-struggling-with-romantic-feelings-towards-each-other story and this had that and so much more. I also really liked that recent events in Australia shaped this story which made it all the more real. This book was a wonderful, engrossing story beautifully written and I cant wait to read more from Helene Young. less
