review 1: Quite lovely. Read like a series of short vignettes, with each chapter focusing on one or more (but no more than two) of the characters in this interconnected tale of love, marriage, and infidelity. Because of the similarities between the two affairs studied in the novel, I felt as though the story lines started blending together ... I had a hard time remembering who was who, and I swear I was paying attention! I am thinking this was deliberate ... almost underscoring what a cliche life can be.
review 2: I won't lie, by the end of this book I was saying to myself, "Enough about love!!!!!" I probably will never read this book again, nor will I recommend it to anyone I know. The characters in this book are beyond tragic....it's depressing, but even more depres
... moresing to know that people actually live similar lives to these characters. Usually the realism in books is what I love the most, but not this time. less
