review 1: Ensimmäinen kirja tältä kirjailijalta ja alkuun kirja veikutti tosi mielenkiintoiselta. Teksti oli mukavaa luettavaa ja tarina eteni kivasti. Mutta kirjan edetessä mukaan sotkettiin taas perinteisesti menneisyyden haamut ym. vastaavat...liikaa jäi junnaamaan paikoilleen vaikka lopputulos oli ennakoitavissa.Olisi siis saanut olla hieman reippaampi ote muuten kirja ihan hyvä vaikka aika vaikea tunnistaa päähenkilöä 60-vuotiaaksi! =)
review 2: I liked this book. It was a quick enjoyable read and I wasn't quite sure of the direction the plot would take. I thought the relationship between Jeanie and her husband was well drawn and complex, neither terrible nor great. The relationship between Jeanie and Ray, however, seemed superficial and little too perf... moreect. I would have liked to have seen them experience and deal with a difference of opinion other than that of whether or not Jeanie should divorce her husband. The relationship was so separate from Jeanie's real life that it never had to confront any everyday annoyances or issues. less
