review 1: This book starts with Flora and Fin and then picks up a few years later when Fin comes back into Flora's life. Flora is a nurse which provides an emotional side story that is easy to get lost in. The many people that Flora meets in her life also make for enjoyable reading. For most of the book Flora has to make a decision over Fin and there are twists along the way which further added to my enjoyment. I raced through this book as it was so enjoyable and I would absolutely recommend it as a great summer read.
review 2: A lazy Sunday read which was predictable and easy on the brain. Sometimes, when I am tired, I look for a book that allows me to switch off and escape without having to work too hard; this did the job. I gave it two stars because it isn't a genre I... more would normally recommend (chick lit). This may be harsh as it was neatly written and not too cloying. It was given to me as a 'feel good' book and that is a fair description. Unchallenging (I read it in an afternoon), but an enjoyable enough way to pass the time on a day of rest. less
