Maid Sama!
review 1: Ha ha ha! Maid sama could be categorized as anything really. Misaki (main character) would say it is an action adventure where she beats up boys, but learns a different way to look at life. Usui (main character) would say it is romantic comedy where he sweeps Misaki off her feet and makes her confess her love to him, all the while he is cracking funny jokes. I say it is a romantic comedy but Misaki is a more complicated character than that. Misaki is an all-out boy-hater (b/c her dad walked out on her, her mother, and her sister) and, as the president of a 80% boy high school, she keeps those disgusting awful boys in line from being layabouts, disgusting the girls, and being the general nuisance that boys are. She reserves special hatred for Takumi Usui, the most pop... moreular (and cutest) boy in school, for making all the boys cry when he rejects their declarations of love. What Misaki can't let anyone at the school know is that she works parttime at a maid café, where she cosplays as a maid and serves the male population that she so hates. When Usui stumbles upon her secret, her life is changed forever, turned completely upside down by the one boy she never wanted to know about her life. (this is only the first chapter!) The series continues with many comedic reliefs but continues the storyline with Misaki learning to have a better, less-boy hating, outlook on life and finally admitting her lov...wait a second! I can't tell you all this. YOu better go read it yourself. (the only reason it is not five stars is because it has a little bit of inappropriate humor.)
review 2: I saw this anime a few years ago and I really love it. I am not fond of watching animes or reading mangas, but if it's as good as this, I may have to reconsider. Maid Sama! may not have a very unique of complicated plot, but it is highly entertaining. I have never laughed so hard with any other anime I have watched. Even my little brother enjoys watching this, laughing along with me. Hahahaha... The cat-mouse relationship between Misaki and Usui is very cute. Misaki is one hell of a force to be reckoned with. Her leadership skills and determination makes her really admirable. But a lot of the students fear her because of that very strong attitude. Now, her comes cool and calm Usui. The only person who can make Misaki nervous and fazed because he knows something that not everybody knows. Then, the romance begins!! :) less
