review 1: If you like books where the heroine has sass and spunk then you will definitely like Jordie in Finding Jordie. She is a bar owner, widowed, single mother who has a smart mouth and likes to relax with a smoke on her rooftop. After losing her special forces husband several years earlier Jordie has pretty much abandoned the outside world and concentrated on raising her daughter and making her business a success. So when she meets Nathan she has no idea he's famous which makes her all the more attractive to Nathan.Once their growing relationship hits the headlines Jordie finds herself receiving odd phone calls and threats. Determined not to let it rule her life, Jordie dives head first into exploring her feelings for Nathan. Nathan falls head over heels for Jordie almost strai... moreght away and is preparing for a future with her when their world is rocked by something unexpected from Jordie's past.This is one of those books where you think you know what the big twist is but then you start second guessing yourself and asking is the twist the obvious choice or something out of left field. Obviously I can't tell you or that would ruin it ;)Finding Jordie was fast paced, easy to read and had lots of great supporting characters. The ending also had a sneaky little heart wrenching twist thrown in that had me guessing if I would get a HEA in the end.
review 2: Jordie is a widowed, single mother of a nine year old and the tough, no-holds-barred owner of a popular bar in NY. Unbeknownst to her, she falls head over heels in love with Nathan, a famous actor, who has had trust issues of his own to deal with. Jordie picks up a stalker and Nathan puts his resources to work to protect those he loves, but will it be enough to keep her safe?Although the language was a bit rough, I loved the tenderness of this story. There were no graphic sex scenes, but the implications were quite hot, regardless. Surprised at the twist in the story and couldn't put it down. Looking forward to the next book. less
