review 1: meh. E loves this series. She said she'd give every one of them a 5. I'd probably really give it 2 stars, but since E liked it so much, I bumped it up. It's a step up from the Magic Puppy, Magic Kitty, etc. books. I didn't find it all that compelling though, but then again, I'm not the target audience. The main gist of the book is that there's a girl who discovers she has magic in her family and there are magical animals that can talk. She starts learning how to do some magic from a witch who is her uncle's girlfriend.
review 2: Lottie's mother has to go to Paris for her job during the summer. so Lottie has to go to her Uncle Jakes house. He and his son Danny live and own a pet shop. Lottie starts to notice some strange things in the pet shop and finds out i... morets MAGICAL! All the animals can talk and some have other magical powers too. Lottie goes on many adventures and she may even find some magic in herself too. This book was great I read it in one day it was so good. I would completely recommend this book it was really amazing. less
