review 1: Is it bad that I didn't like this book all that much? It was interesting in the beginning to the middle and then I started to lose interest. I was dreading the last 60 pages or so. The only reason I actually finished it was because I was almost done anyways. I didn't like any of the characters. They all had a rather annoying feature to them. Gwen is awkward and ignorant, she "wants" to stay away from Cass, but it's like she's not even trying. Viv is annoying, because... I don't know why... but she is. Cass always is quick to defend Gwen but really why? You defend a girl that you don't even know you're dating instead of your best friend? Seriously? I say that the book was poorly written considering I had a hard time knowing whether or not Gwen was having a "flashback". ... moreGwen was always putting off the tutoring lessons so I don't understand why Huntley even added that in the book. If she deleted all the text about the tutoring the book would still be 407 pages long. The only characters that didn't get on my nerves are Emory and Spencer. Em really is that cute little brother everyone wants. Spence is an interesting character so he really doesn't bother me at all. Huntley needs to write a book just for Spence, no Cass, no Viv, no Gwen, just Spence (and Emory).
review 2: I would definitely recommend this book. It's a must for people who love a good story, a true romance, family ties, and some real life drama. This story is set in a beautiful area with people you can relate to. The characters are amazing. The setting is amazing. The way the story is told, is amazing. And the way you connect to and perceive the story is amazing. It is basically an amazing story over all. It's real life problems and real life people. And, most people can connect to the narrator and the other characters as well. So, pick up a copy, read it, and enjoy. less
