review 1: I've always been interested in Marian apparitions but I am also skeptical and only learn about ones that are approved by the church. Our Lady of Kibeho is an approved apparition and is a touching look into the trials of the people of Rwanda. OL of Kibeho came 12 years before the genocides to warn the people of Rwanda to stop their discriminatory ways and to focus on God. She even allowed one of the visionaries to see some of the carnage that was to come. Many of the people didn't listen and the genocides happened as Our Lady predicted. This is an apparition worth learning more about. As a person close to it all, Immaculee tells the story with heart and passion. You will not be the same after reading this book!
review 2: While I liked it, I can't rave about it. ... moreI guess I just expected more theology, or more detailed accounts of the apparitions, or more detail of the lives of the visionaries after the apparitions.That being said, I'm relieved there wasn't much detail on the horrors of the Holocaust in 1994. I suppose that's all the followup necessary.Another question I have is, am I the only one who questioned the veracity of Marie-Claire's visions? If the Church did the research and found them to be true, that should be enough, but it still seemed... too good to be true? Of all the students, the one who was leading the abuse of the other visionaries? less
