Favorite books about friendship! (part 1)

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you probably know this: I am not a romance-reader. Actually, I don’t like romance in general, like, in real life. To be completely honest with you, I prefer platonic relationships. And I value friendship over love, always. So, today, I want to make this post about 3 of my favorite friendship!!

Fans of the impossible life – Kate Scelsa

I once recommend this book for those who like The perks of being a wallflower.

A coming-of-age contemporary about 3 teenagers, each with their own problems, they’re all struggling, they’re all finding a way to live their life, and they’re all lovely, beautiful (inside and out) kids. Please please please read this book.

Friendship is…:

“I know you think that we saved you or something, Jeremy,” he said. “That we were stronger than you. But we’re not. We weren’t. We’re all just trying to survive however we can.”

Wonder – R.J. Palacio

Probably you’ve read this book. If you haven’t, pick it up immediately!!! Wonder is absolutely…wonderful (sorry, I can’t :p). Not only the friendship between the kids (August, Summer and Jack) are super adorable, but the friendship between Miranda and Violet though, so real, so relatable. Each of us has experienced it, one way or another, right?

Friendship is…

“It’s not enough to be friendly. You have to be a friend.”

“I did notice as I walked that Amos had stayed right next to me. And Jack was close on the other side of me. And Miles was in front of us and Henry was in back of us. They were surrounding me as we walked through the crowds of kids. Like I had my own emperor’s guard.”

Girl against the universe – Paula Stokes

This book has romance, but it’s so cute, not at all cringy or anything. But I want to put it in this list because all the supporting characters, they are friendship goals!!!

Looking for Alaska – John Green

This second you’re laughing, the next you’re bawling your eyes out: aka every John Green’s book ever. This one is no exception. Some people can have negative feelings about this book, but me, well, I love it. Absolutely compelling. I love the bonding between Chip, Alaska and Pudge. And even Takumi!!

Friendship is…

“It always shocked me when I realized that I wasn’t the only person in the world who thought and felt such strange and awful things.”

Throne of glass series – Sarah J. Maas

I need to put in here some fantasy books, er? Well, there are so many good friendship in this series. Dorian and Chaol, Aelin and Lysandra, to name a few. Also, this is such a epic fantasy series, so, just read it!

Friendship is…

“You bought chocolate―as far as I’m concerned, you’re my new favorite person.”

“He looked at his friend, perhaps for the last time, and said what he had always known, from the moment they’d met, when he’d understood that the prince was his brother in soul. “I love you.”

Friendship is…
