review 1: Unexpected Dreams is book 4 in the Dream series. This is a M/M novel. Warning! Be prepared to melt! This is Greg's story and how he copes after the divorce. After being married for over 20 years, how does he go on in life and start over? Why on earth did his wife leave him? Greg just wants answers and boy, will he find them in the most unexpected way possible. Greg meets Tanner Williams in a bar and steps in to help Tanner before some big brute beats on Tanner. This forms a friendship between Tanner and Greg. What Greg doesn't know is that Tanner plays for the other team and is attracted to Greg. Greg doesn't realize this until they've been hanging out and Tanner goes for the kill and kisses Greg. Holy Hotness! Greg kisses him back and likes it, but he's just so confused. ... moreGreg has always been a ladie's man, so why is he sporting a rock hard tent for a man? Unexpected Dreams is a heartfelt story of a middle-aged man trying to understand himself and how he's lived so long being married to a woman. How did he not realize after all these years that he's attracted to men, well not just any man, but to Tanner Williams? Tanner is a superstar soccer athlete with the body of a God! Tanner is charming and sweet. He's never been in a commited relationship but he will do anything to help Greg cope with these new changes that have stirred up his life. This book is my first ever M/M novel. I admit I was terrified to read this, but with all the teasers I've been seeing and after hating Greg so much in the prior Dream series books, I just had to give this a try. I absolutely loved it! What did I love so much? It's that Ms. Peterson takes a serious issue that so many men and women have to deal with in everyday life and she writes it so beautifully with so much emotion and tenderness. Greg and Tanner's story was very well written and I loved that I connected with both men right from the beginning. Don't even get me started on the sex! It was STEAMY and so HOT! Get ready, this is a panty melting read!!! If you've never read a M/M novel, I highly recommend this one. I loved the entire series but I must say, this was my favorite in the Dream series.
review 2: WOW what is a book.. this one just blew me away... I've never read a M/M story before. Isabelle's first book Ditching the Dream, quickly became my favorite book. I also love the other 2 books in the series. But Greg's story is simply amazing. I didn't really care for Greg during the first book or much of what was seen of him in book 3. In the beginning of this book, he's just sulking throwing himself a pity party as to why his wife of 20+ years left him. He goes on several blind dates and just can't seem to get back into the swing of things. As the story develops and he learns more about himself he realizes exactly why his marriage didn't work. Tanner is just simply an amazing man. I never thought I would enjoy reading a story like this so much and just wanted more. Even as the book ended I was disappointed because I wanted it to continue on and wanted to read more of Tanner and Greg's life. Lots of surprises on every page something "unexpected" all throughout this book. There are so many aspects of this book that I absolutely love but I don't want to give away too many details... So, just buy this book already! Definitely a must read! less
