review 1: 3.5-4 stars. A short and sweet story about Stella, who has been traumatized in the past and sworn off from men by fear, is being pursued by her twin sister Sloane's friend and boss, Bray. The overall dynamic of the story was good. Things moved fast given the short length and the chemistry was great, but sometimes more of a leap than was believable given Bray's track record of womanizer to suddenly committed as a one-woman man trying to get Stella out of her shell with all the patience in the world. Regardless, Stella's fear was not unfounded and I loved how much her sister was so protective over her, as well as Bray, too.
review 2: Saving Stella is a sweet and romantic story. It’s a tale of saving someone’s sense of self and giving them back a life to live.... more Stella Morgan is a straight laced accountant. She has a past that torments her with the pain of memories that she can’t overcome. Someone hurt her and she is taking precautions to never again let that happen. Brayden Brooks owns several tattoo shops and he has a bit of a reputation with the ladies. So when his best artist and friend, Sloan comes to him and asks for his help with her sister and the funk she’s in, he is more than skeptical. When Stella meets Brayden, she really isn’t sure what to make of him and his large personality. So as they start working together on getting his books straightened out for his businesses, they are both surprised by the chemistry between them, but for reasons of their own. Can someone learn to trust again after such living through such a scary past? Can someone learn to appreciate the value of a person purely on who they are? Can an accountant and a tattoo artist/shop owner help each other and maybe even build a relationship? You’ll find out when you read Saving Stella for yourself. less
