review 1: I LOVED it. This story was sweet, charming and completely loveable. J. Rocci did a great job introducing us to Craig and Grady. The premise of a were-crocodile was a very pleasant change from the were-creatures I usually read. I also like how it was explained. Please continue this story. I'd love to read about what happens after their encounter at the Everglade. Why did the crocs go after Craig and Grady so persistently? Is Grady Craig's mate? How does this effect Craig? Craig isn't the only were-crocodile is he? Will he stumble across a community of them?Thank you J. Rocci for sharing this with us. I love the dusting of humor you put in Crocodylus Acutus.
review 2: Who would think that the best day you ever had would be making out in a truck with a were-crocod
... moreile? For that matter, I'd never even considered that a were-animal could be a crocodile, much less a gay one, but these elements certainly make the story unique. This creature is very unusual indeed. The were-croc's name is Craig and it's quite entertaining to be privy to his thoughts on life as a were-crocodile, having him explain things which we would never even think about like where he has to live and how inconvenient it is not to have grocery stores nearby. The guided tour Craig gives us of the swamp through his crocodile eyes is informative and entertaining, especially when the croc has such a great personality and a fantastic, witty, and off-beat sense of humor. Even so, when Grady sees him shift for the first time it almost gives him a heart attack, but he soon comes to realize that Craig is harmless, at least to him and that they hit it off well enough to consider dating.I loved this story; J's sense of humor is phenomenal. I laughed all the way through it. Craig's laid-back attitude gave him a special charm and Grady's ability to see beyond Craig's 'were-ness' speaks to his open mindedness which is exactly what he would need to even think of dating a man who can turn into a crocodile. I'd love to see what happens with the guys in the future. The first date should be a hoot. I recommend this story to anyone who enjoys unusual shifter stories which are both entertaining and humorous and prove than any obstacle can be overcome if you try hard enough. Thanks, J.! less
