review 1: This book was ok, the story telling was strong, but I won't be reading the rest of the trilogy. I'm not a fan of trilogies, and IMHO this would have been better off as stand alone novel if it had had a more resolved ending or an intro to other novels set in the same world, but not in a trilogy format.Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar ... moreI'd pick it up.4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.5 stars... I loved this book! It had earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
review 2: After taking a long break from paranormal reads I decided to pick this one up. I wasn't disappointed. I haven't read many werewolf stories so this was a fresh topic to me. The story begins when two sisters accidentally see something they shouldn't one night. The aftermath changes their lives forever. Adria gets sent to Maine to live with her uncle, and Alex goes as well. Alex is eighteen and can technically do whatever she wants, but she goes to stay close to Adria. But Alex changes. Drastically and not for the good. Their relationship becomes strained. Adria is determined to make friends and be happy. She ends up with a tight circle of friends and ends up falling for the mysterious and sexy Issac. But Adria doesn't realize how her life is going to change. Werewolves. Fighting. Love. Friendship. Family. All things will be tested. I really enjoyed this fantasy world. I found myself sucked in quickly and couldn't stop. The romance between Adria and Issac did seem too instant for my liking, but I kept expecting for some sort of imprinting or bonding to be revealed. Maybe it will be in book two. I also enjoyed the strong supporting characters. I felt the plot was well constructed and perfectly executed. On to book two..... less
