review 1: This was just not for me. I expected a fun read, based on the cover and the synopsis, but overall I found it rather boring and unrealistic. I initially liked the main character, but--as was pointed out in the novel--he changed a little too much into someone he wasn't, and I began to dislike him from that point. I also didn't fully believe in the relationship, found the insta-friendship with the town's locals hard to comprehend and found myself skimming a lot of the book.
review 2: This was my first introduction to read a book by Jacob Z Flores. We received this story as a submission--and I bought the next one in the series as soon as I finished When Love Takes Over, Provincetown Book #1 and then I will buy ALL the rest. I LOVED IT!!!!!Zach is a mess. He has jus... moret been dumped by his longtime lover and does something so unlike him. He Takes Charge! He puts on his big boy pants and buys a plane ticket flying from Texas to Provincetown, Massachusetts, having no idea why, but needing to get away.He has rented a condo for a week from Gary and his partner, Quinn, who are a story in themselves. They are great side characters throughout the entire story.The great pairing of Mr. Hart Throb the Sex King of porn with our nebbish Zach was one of the best darn stories I have read in a long time. Okay what could be bad? There was humor, there was angst, there was sensuality, and, of course, some of the hottest steamy sex scenes between Mr Throb and our beautiful Zach. Mr Flores writing is clear, descriptive and has a light feel, at least in this story.Gary, the Diva, and Quinn, the suffering husband, are a perfect addition for this story and give the reader a breath of humor as Zach tries to come out of his shell. Wow, what a great coming out it is! Throughout the story we hear of the non-relationship Zach has with his father. Was I surprised to see the next book is all Dad’s story. I had to buy Chasing The Sun Provincetown Book #2. You will get my review when I finish it.Jacob, thank you for adding you to my list of auto buy.
