Making a Splash
review 1: You don't always get what you want in life. This book, Making a Splash, displays how life is unfair but you just have to get used to how life goes. Even though you get the job that you want, you might not like what you're supposed to do. Life isn't always about choosing and expecting what you want to expect. Robyn, a teenage girl, gets a job at The Splash which is a water park. Although she got the job that she wanted, she was assigned a specific place in the water park which was, to be a lifeguard at the kids' section. Robyn didn't like it at first because she was trying to make a good impression of herself in front of her supervisor but she kept messing up and even got in trouble once. Robyn was just nervous in front of her supervisor so she became clumsy. After fin... moreally calming down, she began to realize how fun her job was and she even saved a little boy from drowning. I think this book is very good because it can be relatable. I can relate to Robyn because on the first day of community service, I was so nervous because it was my first time and I didn't know if the little kids would like me since I volunteered at a daycare. This book also taught me a lesson about how life goes. Life is all about taking risks and trying your best to achieve your goals or overcome any challenges. I recommend this book to those who like teen romance and reading about a job at a water park. Guess what, go get this book right now! No more waiting to finish this book review...
review 2: I love Jade Parker/Rachel Hawthorne/Lorraine Heath. I found her when I first read the Dark Gaurdians and discovered something in the way Parker writes romances just speaks to me. Now I read everything I can get my hands on by this author. This is the first book in a summer YA romance by Jade Parker that takes place in a water park where romance blooms. Robyn is excited to be working at the splash park and ends up at the kiddie ride with her friends brother, Sean as her supervisor. Robyn finds that she likes Sean more and more as she sees him at work. This is a fun quick read that just appeals to the first love of summer. It is totally fluffy and I love it for it. less
