A pessimistBird--Carefree and Careless-- An abundance of over confidence and hairbrained ideas.And, unnamed but ever present-- Cat, who wants to eat bird and squirrel both. But it wont be easy.Graphic novel for kids-- very funny-- for kids and adults-- a little reminiscent of Elephant and Piggie. Not as sweet though-- for a (slightly) older crowd.Recommended by a young patron AND his mother. Good one.
review 2: Bird is spontaneous and happy-go-lucky, living life by the minute. Squirrel, on the other hand, is practical and merticulous, always planning far ahead. So, no-one would imagine this duo ever becoming friends. But, when they do, it's one heck of an adventure, with each of them saving the other's... more life more than once. And, this full-color GN is full of wonderful art. Keep in mind, though, cat lovers, that the cat is the villian here. That said, I still think all animal lovers would love this one. less
