review 1: Bird and Squirrel are back for another adventure. Bird's less than perfect bird senses crash them into a mountain and a village where he is identified as "The Chosen One." When Squirrel discovers that the village intends to sacrifice him rather than honor him, they must make an escape plan before he becomes a Killer Whale's meal. Expressive characters and an easy to read format make this graphic novel a sure sell to readers.
review 2: Bird's never-fail sense of direction lands the pair in the Arctic, where Bird is hailed as the "chosen one" come to save the penguins from the tyranny of the great whale. His head immediately begins to swell so big that it takes his devil-may-care attitude to new heights. Heights so great that he can't see the predicament he's ... morein. But fortunately, his buddy Squirrel is skittish enough for two. There is plenty of humor and hijinks, but this one has a bit of a soft, squishy center too. Definitely a feel good read. less
