review 1: Horrible. It's been a long time since I stopped reading with only 40 pages to go. I just couldn't do it. I was looking for a light, fun summer read. Unfortunately 2 pages in the author starts using her characters to make personal political statements and it goes on and on about Bush. Note to author: books for the sake of your venting are boring! Characters are thin and predictable and have been done before. Pass!
review 2: Maybe 3 1/2. I was absolutely loving it until about halfway through. I knew it was leading up to the main character, Evvie, doing something drastic to try to save her marriage, but once it was revealed it kind of lost me a little. It was interesting but a little too far fetched, despite how unhinged she was. I loved the writing and was really... more fond of Evvie and Ben but I just couldn't commit to this plot. All things considered I still liked how it all ended up and I will definitely read this author again. less
