review 1: First thoughts after…So great to where the series began!How distracted did I get?His Leading Lady is a wonderful star to the Hollywood Hearts Series. Penny, I love her, felt for her and wanted to knock her upside the head a time or two. But hey, which of us ladies don't go through a roller coaster in our lives. Mark, he's hot and I loved how different a leading man he is especially with his sister. However, a knock upside the head a time or two wouldn't hurt him either. Overall Jean Joachim delivers a story just as addictive as all the other in the Hollywood Hearts Series.
review 2: Mark and Penny individually are strong, smart, talented people and their similar goals and troubled upbringings make them a very compatible couple. The plot is fairly realist... moreic even for a fiction book, but the writing leaves a lot to be desired. The formatting of the book makes it hard to tell when a new voice takes over, there are sometimes lengthy monologues right at the beginning of sex scenes (who does that?!) and some the language is particularly cheesy. If you're not particular about the writing style or editing its a fine choice, glad it was a freebie though. less
