review 1: Most of this book you can find on the author’s blog or on Pinterest. That being said, she does have some really good ideas on how to incorporate art projects into your life daily and how to set up a nice little art center for the kids. Also includes science experiments and language development suggestions. I am glad I bought this because of all the ‘recipes’ for homemade paints, clay etc. I know that I can find it online but it’s nice to have it easily accessible in print.
review 2: This is a really great book on a subject I'm passionate about. I've been reading the author's blog for years and her ideas have inspired me to integrate art into our daily lives. Because I was familiar with her ideas, not a lot of the book was new information for me an... mored at times it seemed repetitive, but it was good to re-read it to get renewed inspiration and remember some of our favorite art projects. The book begins with reasons to make art and creativity part of your family's life then goes on to list good art supplies for kids, ways to work art into your routine, then ends with lots of fun art projects. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to introduce art and creativity to their children. less
