review 1: I'm a bit confused with this book. I read the Charlotte chronicles first and I really enjoyed it. But now..... This is about Nathan patents and the timeline makes no sense.They have cell phones, patron, Skype mms fighting. Great. But Nathan also have these things. So unless the Charlotte chronicles was set in probably 2053 this makes no damn sense. And it's almost the same book.Continuity people.
review 2: I completely fell in love with this book. What's not to love, a marine and a high school girl corresponding for 4 years, a ex marine that turns up two years later ready to woo the now college girl - the only thing I didn't love was the MMA fighting that seemed to be a bizarre addition to the story but hey what do I know! A high school girl writes to a marine ... morein theatre striking up a lasting relationship through letters for the next 4 years until his deployment ends and he friend zones her before he stopped writing to her. 2 years later and Grace is in college trying to move on with her life until Noah turns up at her college determined to make Grace his. Grace is still smarting from his rejection in the past but will Noah be able to break down her defences to claim her heart once again?I loved the characters in this story, the banter between Noah, Bo and their room mates is hilarious. The book is filled with laugh out loud moments intermingled with truly beautiful romance. I just didn't get the weird MMA angle that being said it won't put me off reading more from this series. less
