review 1: I was disappointed by the book. The plot seemed very interesting, but the first 90 pages were mostly boring. The book is too focused on irrelevant things like makeup, going out, making out or at least, the way these actions are presented is very uninteresting. I was really thinking of giving up on reading at a certain point. Moreover, the presentation of Liam is exaggerated and the adversary group is exaggerated. Like this is some kind of story for 5-years old children with absolute bad and absolute good. I think this book lacks at least some connection to reality and I do not recommend it.
review 2: Jenna Bernel is obviously a very imaginative person. Unearth is creative and not repetitive at all in comparison to other fantasy novels about the same subject, Fa
... moree. The main character is strong without knowing it and in this way is desirable. The plot is well rounded and doesn't slow down to a boring point. All of this is commendable and makes a great story but I believe it could've been written better. Now take this with a grain of salt, I can be very picky when it comes to editing and the overall writing of a story. Bernel does really good with the story part but telling it is another matter. With editing mistakes and a plot that can sometimes drag on unimportant details, I can't give Unearth any more than three stars. Either way I do recommend it, just with a warning. If you pay more attention to the structure of a story than this isn't the book for you. However, if you are just looking for a great story with action and romance-gone-bad than go for it! I did go on and read the other two books so I'm not totally bashing this book. I believe in good structure, though, so this book pricks my side at certain points. All-in-all, yay for Bernel on a creative and imaginative spin on the subject of Fae, but maybe it could've gone back to the drawing board one more time. -your fellow reader less

I thought it was okay. I'd say 2.5 stars. It had slow pacing but it was a quick read.

Loved it but it needed a better editor. Tense switching threw me off.
