review 1: I highly recommend to read this before Glimmerglass. This novella is about is about Kimber and it gives a deeper insight of her character and why she may come off as mean, bitter or flat out jealous sometimes. This made me really like Kimber and wish she had a larger space in the books. Also, I especially like this one because, weird as it may sound, I once had a nightmare so much like the teddy bears scene *needless to say there's no way I'll sleep with a teddy in my bedroom anymore* and I'm glad that somehow my dream came true *err.. well.. my nightmare in this case.. and by came true I mean added ink to the paper, which is how I like it and about how true I would like to get =D
review 2: I haven’t read the first book in this series yet, but the bonus story wa
... mores free. I can’t resist freebies.Kimber is tired of living in the shadow of her older brother, so she’s determined to prove she can perform magic just as well as anybody else. Unfortunately, her efforts lead to disaster—in the form of evil teddy bears. Yeah, you read that correctly. Evil. Teddy. Bears. The entire story is basically her chanting the wrong spell and psycho teddies attacking her. Then, who saves the day and walks off into the sunset with a girl on his arm? Kimber’s brother, of course.Overall, I didn’t care much for this bonus story, but I do plan on reading the first book in the series, as it sounds entertaining. If you like stories involving magic and killer teddy bears, then this is the book for you. less
