review 1: This one was ok.It featured a young princess warrior named Elwytha, who was ordered by her brother & King, to avenge the death of their brother Thor.King Thor had been ruthlessly murdered by The Commander, and so Elwytha set off to the enemy's stronghold to get revenge.When a series of events occurred, Elwytha and the commander become bethroed. As the princess bids her time, she begins to see there is more to the Commander than meets the eye. He doesn't respond the way she expected and he showed kindness that she believed him incapable of.Slowly, she comes to care for the commander and is left in quagmire. Does she follow through with the arrangment with her brother King Richard to kill the commander, even though she now knows he isnt the man they had believed him to be; o... morer does she follow her heart?I thought this story was a tad predicatable, but also not that engaging. I didnt like the King Richard, so I was enjoying the commander and Elwytha's bonding. They had some miscommunciations due to misconceptions, but they are both good people so I knew it would work out for them. They were nice together and the story was okay. review 2: Mi piaciono i romanzi storici e fantasy, e questo libro era un mix fra i due. L'eroina viene presentata come un'ntrepida guerriera, cosa che adoro... peccato che poi è sempre insicura e continua a piangere al posto di agire. Meh.Gilead invece è magnifico, un eroe in tutti i sensi della parola, che ama profondamente la moglie dal principio, non solo per dovere ma perchè ne rispetta profondamente il coraggio, e che soffre come un cane per mesi quando ne scopre il tradimento, cosa che ho riscontrato essere molto realistica.Come al solito tutto si risolve con un bebè, e vabbè (fa pure rima).Consigliato a chi non si annoia facilmente perchè a tratti veramente luuuungo.Si ringrazia NetGalley per la gentile preview.Voto: 3.5 stelle less
