review 1: 2 - Writing Style (It seemed like all of the characters sounded the same. It needed to vary more to distinguish between their personalities.)4 - Kept me Awake at Night Reading (An easy read. I had already been interested in the characters from the first book, so that helped me want to keep reading.)3 - Good Discussion Book (Maybe.)4 - Violence (The boy hanging was sort of gross.)5 - Sex (Clean.)5 - Language (Clean.)2 - Unique (The plot wasn't enough different from the first two. I think I would have liked it better if it had been the only one I read. As the third book, it just seemed more of the same.)I was disappointed again with the end of this series. It lacked depth and character development and started to feel preachy and unnatural in its Christian values push. It's n... moreot that I don't agree with the values, it just started to feel unnatural and insincere. When someone tells a fake story about a pretend conversion, it seems they are making light of something that is sacred. I don't regret reading this series. I just didn't love it.
review 2: I had read Jennifer Erin Valent 2 previous books in this series and liked them well enough to read this one. I enjoyed the first 2 in the series more. The story continued in this book well enough & wrapped up leaving me satisfied. However, it felt unnecessarily drawn out and repetitive in certain places. If you have read Fireflies in December and Cottonwood Whispers, I would recommend reading this one so you can find out what happens. Just don't have high expectations. Overall, I would recommend this series. less
