review 1: As I finished reading this book yesterday I was faced with a major panic how on earth was I going to get across to my readers all that makes this book so good. It is a love story which is easy enough to convey but it also deals with the after life and the consequences of our actions, and this is what I need to tell you about today.Seven Weeks to Forever is first of all a gorgeous looking book, I was lucky enough to receive an actual physical copy, the cover was gorgeous and I know it sounds daft but the book feels nice too, so big thumbs up for the paper that makes it up!!Anyway I need to concentrate on the inside!, the book is told from the POV of Cassidy Jordan, seventeen at the beginning of the book, recently moved to LA, she has seven weeks to live, she will die a few... more weeks after her eighteenth birthday, she is not scared, she has been expecting this. Cassidy has been here before and she has been sent back from The Life After (what we know as the afterlife) to help a young man find his way after tragedy has struck him, that young man is Riley Davis and for the next seven weeks it is up to her to make him start living his life, if she fails Riley will die far too young and she will lose her right to return to the Life After, the only problem she has no idea how to turn his life around.Cassidy and Riley's first encounters start off almost by fate as he comes to her rescue one night and they meet again shortly after in a record store, they seem drawn to one another and they are soon getting to know one another a lot better. There is no way I can describe this book perfectly without giving away a lot of spoilers and I hate spoilers, I haven't read the third book in a huge recently at the cinema trilogy because I accidentally read a spoiler in a review which just literally spoiled the whole thing for me.Seven Weeks to Forever is such a great read what I can say about the rest of the book is this, Cassidy know she has to get Riley back on the right path and when she does he will live a long life and she will return to the Life After however a problem arises, actually a couple of problems, the first is the reintroduction of Cassidy's ex-best friend Selena who is not happy to see Cassidy at all, the second? Well Cassidy did not think she would start fall for Riley and as she helps him she knows that she is going to lose him in order to help him.It is a great read, I haven't done it justice here at all! But I hope this is enough of a taste for you to go and try it for yourself! Seven Weeks to Forever is awarded 5 out of 5
review 2: The author does such a great job of capturing first love (which can be hard enough to navigate even when there isn't a time limit and such high stakes). I laughed and cried and couldn't wait to find out how what would happen between Cassidy and Riley. This book reminds you that often times in love and life you have to make choices and sacrifices, but there isn't much that is more powerful than first love. It's such an interesting premise and was written so incredibly well, I could totally see it being a movie. I absolutely loved this book and wished it would last forever! less
