review 1: Jennifer grew up an atheist, I grew up in a deeply religious family. We went to the same summer camp as kids, and her experience could not have been more different than mine, coming as we did from vastly different backgrounds on God. But I loved reading about her skeptical searching to determine if in fact God did exist, and appreciated her thoughtful approach to the issue yet also her willingness to listen and feel and trust her feelings. An interesting book for everyone, whatever your perspective on God.
review 2: Utterly loved it. While I had some initial difficulties relating to her jet-set lifestyle, I could see the struggle when she and her husband make a completely different lifestyle change. While she does not directly say it, I feel like her glamoro... moreus lifestyle of parties and a hip apartment were reflective of her atheist beliefs in living in the now. She shares the growing pains that she had to face as she learned and developed a love for God. While all of paths are different, I believe that her journey is relatable. As someone who recently re-joined the Catholic Church a year ago, I felt her struggles in living what the Church teaches us and overall just searching for answers. Overall, Excellent book, I have already recommended it to several people. Her humor and language kept me turning the pages. By the end of the book I felt like I knew her and she told me her story over coffee. less
