review 1: Seahorses is a great book for children to learn about the life cycle of seahorses. It is like a circle story in the way that it starts with a baby seahorse and ends with a baby seahorse. Although it is an informational text, there is a life story going along while the reader learns. It is both intriguing and useful when children need to research seahorses and their life cycle including birth, growing up, and continuing on their species. Each topic is discussed in a way that children can understand and in a comfortable manner.
review 2: I was shocked to realize how little I knew about about seahorses after reading this story. It is such an educational and informative children's story. I think this is a story children would love to read over and over again, each
... moretime learning new information. This book would also be helpful in class for teaching children how to create book reports. I really enjoyed the page in the story about the seahorse hiding in the seaweed from the other animals. It was a very colorful and bright page and gives the children a great idea of what the ocean floor looks like. less
