review 1: Wow – another great book by Jennifer LoweryThe first book I read by Ms. Lowery was The Maze (before it was published I was given an ARC to review). I thought it was fantastic. After reading it I started reading her other books but I really didn’t expect to find one that I liked as well as The Maze; I was wrong.Hard Core was every bit as good as The Maze even though they are quite different. Yes, they both have a strong heroine (Alana) and Hero (Cristian) but the stories are quite different. What I’m trying to say is that these are not cookie cutter books – with the same story told differently with different names – they are complex, suspenseful and page-turning reads.Cristian and Alana don’t get to their HEA easily but the suspense and wait is worth it. If... more you like edge-of-your-seat action, suspense, romance and an HEA you will love Jennifer Lowery’s books.I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
review 2: For this being a debut book by this author, she nailed it! I enjoyed this book & cannot wait for the next book. This book had suspense, a bad guy, a hero & heroine & romance. It was a well written story of two people who's work are total opposites. Cristian tries to keep to himself because of his occupation & not let anyone get close to him. He also didn't have the best childhood memories, but Alana brings out his caring, protective side & makes him think twice about them having a life together. Now, the bad guy, Gavin, is a monster. And that's putting it nicely. He needs to be dealt with before Cristian & Alana can have that HEA. I am truly thankful that I found a new author to love. I enjoyed every page of this book & look forward to more. I would also like to thank the many book blogs I visit & read their reviews. I highly recommend this book to everyone to read. less
