review 1: Although I enjoyed the book, this one was hard to read. By halfway through the book, you still don't know what kind of paranormal Amie is. You don't know why her father left Silver Hollow or why somebody tried to kill her. I found it to be a slow read because I would have to read some of it again to follow what was happening. There are a few errors in the book but it doesn't need a lot of editing. There is a lot of description in the book but the characters are always using "made up" words with no explanation.Overall, the book was good and I really enjoyed it. review 2: I found this book a little hard to follow. It was well written and you can tell the author enjoyed writing it, but in trying to keep secrets from her characters, she was also keeping them ... morefrom us, which made it harder to understand, and harder to want to continue reading. I pushed through, since I had won it from Goodreads, and so felt obliged. But it's not top on my list of one I would recommend. less
