review 1: "Life. Life's a bitch and then you die. So F*** the world and let's get high."That is the opening statement of this book. I'm going to tell you after reading the synopsis I was expecting a very dark and emotional read.When Seth first sees Ali he thinks she is the closest thing to an angel he has ever seen. Lets just say that Seth's home life is less then ideal with a drunk for a mother and a drug dealer for a brother . Meeting Ali seems to flip a switch inside of Seth he starts turning down things he hadn't before. Tho he learns Ali is as innocent as she seems, she could never imagine what his life was like. I honestly wish Seth could have grow up under different circumstances he deserved so much more. Seth realizes that even tho he thought Ali had the perfect life, that h... moreaving two parents doesn't make everything automatically hunky dory. Seth resents his want of drugs, but feels like he has no choice thanks to his brother.The authors ability to describe this tragic world of drugs was amazing, she in no way glamorizes it. She describes it as sad, dirty and addicting. When Seth lets Ali try the meth I swear to you I was on the edge of my seat terrified. I honestly wouldn't have changed a thing about this story it was beautifully tragic. If you need to read HEA's I suggest you stay away. I think this was more of a novella, or I just read it so fast that it felt like one? Either way even with the length this book lacked nothing, it will engage your emotions and drag you I to this brutally ugly world. I cried. Plain and simple it engaged me that much. If you can stand dark emotional read go and get this.
review 2: Well I'm still quite shocked out this ended. It's left me feeling sad and it's scary how things like this actually happen. I liked the fact she didn't prettify it up and make out that its easy to stop things, the writer made it seem so real. Although this ended in a way I wish it didn't it always ended the way it probably would in the real world so as I said the writer has done amazingly. I'm a sucker for happy endings so really wanted to Seth to have that with or without Ali. But it's defiantly an eye opener less
